In a hybrid Wind-Plus-Storage system it can be selected when you want to sell the electricity to the grid and benefit from tariff differentials. The wind turbines tend to produce more energy with the temperature differential, which is during the night period, so the exploration regime is normally selling all the electricity produced by the turbines until midnight (peak hours), and then store the electricity in the batteries from that period until the next morning consumption peak, where the selling prices are higher, and so the investment in the batteries is amortized like this.
