Raul Assunção has 25 years of Renewable Energy experience which incorporates General Management, Strategical Mastery, Business Development, Technical and Commercial expertise.
He is currently working in Renewable Energy Greenfield Projects Development, and currently dealing with 2.315 MVA of effective projects with Direct Agreement Requests presented and with Lands leased in Portugal.
He is also the Senior Managing Director of DESOLEO, dealing with Renewable Energy and Storage Energy Systems and currently dealing with 250 MVA of effective projects with Lands leased in Spain.
He has worked recently for Solaría Energía, an IBEX 600M€ stock quoted company, based in Madrid, as Senior Business Development Director for Portugal, and working on a 300 MW Solar PV Greenfield Portfolio.
He has worked as Senior Contracts Manager on a 720 MW Greenfield Wind Portfolio (PPA/merchant basis) for Alfanar Co, a Saudi Arabian Conglomerate of companies (USD2,5 Billion of Turnover), with a Global Footprint in the IPP of Renewables Development and in the PTD of Energy.
He was the Founder and CEO of Ecopower Group, Portugal for 10 years.
He was Portugal’s Wind Sales Manager at Siemens Gamesa from 2002 till 2006.
Mr Assuncao holds a Post Graduate (1st edition) in Renewable Management at Lisbon’s Catholic University and he is a certified B.Eng. in Electrotechnical Engineering – Energy and Power Systems, from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, Lisbon’s Polytechnic Institute.
