In some countries it is possible to sign PPAs agreements with local big electricity private consumers, sometimes because there is no interest, or it is not in the country strategy to buy this energy, and normally this happens in more mature markets in a so-called merchant basis.
In some specific and more mature markets sometimes the PPA will be signed directly with big electricity consumers and not with the local DSO or TSO, giving to the project expected Cash Flows and consequently the financing negotiation will become simplified. Another possibility is where there are huge electricity consumers and where the grid is not so strong, it is possible to define a complete solution with these private entities and sign a long term private PPA that allows the project to be feasible.
